Ideal for anyone returning to the snow after time away or preparing for a busy season in the backcountry, this hands-on day in the field revisits core avalanche safety concepts. You’ll practice terrain assessment, travel techniques, group management, snowpack observations, and companion rescue in real conditions, with coaching from experienced instructors.

The course also includes updated decision-making frameworks, interpreting current avalanche bulletins, and real-time route planning, making it the perfect prep for those stepping into complex terrain, considering further training, or simply wanting to sharpen their mindset before the next mission.
