Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand plans can change. Here’s how we support you:
Course Changes, Weather & Snow Conditions
Blizzard Academy courses run in most conditions. However, we reserve the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel a course at any time if severe weather, unsafe conditions, or insufficient snow prevents safe delivery or impacts the intended learning outcomes.
Refunds & Cancellations
If Blizzard Academy cancels a course or tour, a refund will be provided minus any non-refundable costs, including online course materials, issued handbooks, and payment processing fees.
If you cancel your booking more than 30 days before the course/tour start date, you may receive a refund minus any non-refundable costs.
Cancellations within 30 days or withdrawals due to illness or injury may be considered upon presentation of a valid medical certificate.
Group Bookings
Group discounts are based on the number of participants confirmed at the time of booking. If a participant withdraws after a group booking has been confirmed, the discounted rate remains based on the original group size and individual refunds are not available.
Participants may request a credit valid for 12 months from the original course date, which can be used towards any Blizzard Academy course or tour of equal or lesser value.
Course Materials
The $100 online module fee is non-refundable once access has been provided. If an Avalanche Canada AST 1 Handbook has been issued, A$15 will also be deducted from any refund.
Securing Your Spot
Your booking will be forfeited if payment is not received at least 14 days before the course/tour start date.
Payment Fees
PayPal processing fees are non-refundable.
Credit Option
Instead of a refund, participants may request a credit valid for 12 months from the original course/tour date. Credits can be used towards any Blizzard Academy course or tour of equal or lesser value. Unused credits expire after 12 months and are non-refundable.
