This Side of Silence

Why do we keep returning to the mountains?

Filmed in the towering peaks and glacial valleys of Aotearoa New Zealand, This Side of Silence is a short film exploring movement, connection and what shifts within us when we spend time in wild, remote places.

Filmed and produced by Dylan Robinson, and shaped by the words and presence of Bianca Bratton, Mari Henderson, Drew Jolowicz and Kyle Boys, the film drifts between intimate voice, textured soundscapes and cinematic imagery.

It’s an invitation to slow down, listen, and reflect on what the mountains offer—and why we keep returning.
